About

EPITERO 50MG INJ VIAL contains Epirubicin, an anthracycline topoisomerase II inhibitor, which is a type of cytotoxic chemotherapy drug. It works by intercalating into DNA, inhibiting topoisomerase II, and generating free radicals, all of which lead to DNA damage and inhibition of nucleic acid synthesis. This ultimately results in the death of rapidly dividing cancer cells. Epirubicin is used in the treatment of various solid tumors.

Its broad spectrum of activity makes it a valuable agent in the management of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, and lymphomas. Epirubicin is administered intravenously and is often used as part of combination chemotherapy regimens. Its efficacy stems from its ability to disrupt the fundamental processes of cell division and replication in malignant cells, thereby controlling tumor growth and progression.
