About

Glioz 250mg Capsule contains temozolomide, an oral alkylating agent primarily used in the treatment of certain types of brain tumors. This medication exerts its therapeutic effect by interfering with the DNA of cancer cells, leading to DNA damage and subsequent cell death. It is particularly effective because it can cross the blood-brain barrier, allowing it to reach tumor cells within the central nervous system.

Glioz is commonly prescribed for newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme, often in combination with radiation therapy, and for refractory anaplastic astrocytoma. Its mechanism of action involves methylation of DNA, which triggers apoptotic pathways in rapidly dividing cancer cells, thereby inhibiting tumor growth and progression.
