Immunorel 10gm Injection 100ml is an immunostimulant medication containing Human normal immunoglobulin, classified under immunoglobulin derivatives. It is primarily used as replacement therapy in individuals with primary immunodeficiency disorders (PIDs), where the immune system fails to produce enough antibodies to combat infections.

Additionally, Immunorel is used to modulate the immune system in certain autoimmune and inflammatory conditions by reducing excessive inflammation and suppressing abnormal immune responses.

This injection is contraindicated in individuals who are allergic or hypersensitive to human immunoglobulin or any of its components. It may increase the risk of blood clot formation, so monitoring blood viscosity and maintaining proper hydration during treatment is recommended. In patients with selective IgA deficiency, there is a potential for developing anti-IgA antibodies; therefore, the use of this medication should be approached with caution or avoided.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of IgA deficiency. A temporary decrease in white blood cell count (neutropenia) may occur after administration, but this usually resolves on its own within a week. Immunorel is not recommended for children under 12 years, as its safety and effectiveness in this age group are not established.

Human immunoglobulin can interfere with the efficacy of live attenuated vaccines, so such vaccines should be avoided for a certain period after treatment. Overdose of Immunorel may lead to fluid overload, particularly in individuals with heart failure or impaired kidney function. These patients require careful monitoring during infusion.
