About

Mabtas T 100mg Injection contains rituximab as its active ingredient and is used to treat various conditions in adults. It may be administered alone or alongside other medications to manage non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a type of cancer affecting B-lymphocytes, a form of white blood cells) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common cancer that targets B-cells). It is also indicated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis—an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks the joints—in combination with methotrexate. Additionally, Mabtas T is used to treat granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis, which are inflammatory diseases of the blood vessels primarily affecting the lungs and kidneys, in both adults and children aged 2 years and older. It is also prescribed for moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune condition that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.

Mabtas T 100mg Injection belongs to a group of medicines known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. You should not receive this injection if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its components, have a weakened immune system, or are experiencing a severe active infection. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, heart failure, or respiratory problems. It is also important to tell your doctor if you have had hepatitis B, as the infection can potentially reactivate and become serious. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Common side effects of Mabtas T 100mg Injection include blood infections, reduced red blood cell count, dizziness, swelling in the face or body, itching, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and changes in blood pressure. If you are of childbearing potential, use effective contraception during treatment and for 12 months after your last dose. Mabtas T may also cause serious infusion-related reactions during or within 24 hours of administration. Contact your doctor or healthcare provider immediately if you experience symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, difficulty breathing, vomiting, skin rash, or throat swelling.
