About

Mabtas T 500mg Injection contains rituximab as its active ingredient and is prescribed for various medical conditions in adults. It may be used alone or in combination with other medications to treat non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer of B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common cancer affecting B-cells). It is also indicated for moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis in adults, in combination with methotrexate, an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own joints. Additionally, Mabtas T is used to treat granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis—conditions involving inflammation of blood vessels that primarily affect the lungs and kidneys—in adults and in children aged 2 years and older. It is also used for moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune disease that causes painful blisters on the skin and the mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.

Mabtas T 500mg Injection belongs to the class of medications known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. This injection should not be used if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its components, have a weakened immune system, or are suffering from a serious active infection. Inform your doctor before starting treatment if you have any history of heart disease, heart failure, or breathing issues. Also, notify your physician if you have had a hepatitis B infection in the past, as the virus may reactivate and cause serious complications. This medication is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Common side effects of Mabtas T 500mg Injection include blood infections, a decrease in red blood cell count, dizziness, facial and body swelling, itchy skin, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and fluctuations in blood pressure. Women who can become pregnant should use reliable birth control during treatment and for 12 months after the last dose. The injection may also cause severe infusion-related reactions during or within 24 hours of administration. Immediately inform your doctor or healthcare provider if you experience symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, difficulty breathing, vomiting, skin rash, or throat swelling.
