Ristova 500mg Injection contains rituximab as its active ingredient and is used to treat a range of conditions in adults. It may be administered alone or in combination with other medications to manage non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer affecting B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common cancer involving B-cells). In adults, it is also used with methotrexate to treat moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune condition where the body’s immune system attacks its own joints. Additionally, Ristova is prescribed for granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis—types of blood vessel inflammation that primarily affect the lungs and kidneys—in both adults and children aged 2 years and older. It is also used for treating moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune disorder that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.

Ristova 500mg Injection belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. It should not be used if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its ingredients, have a compromised immune system, or are suffering from a serious active infection. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have heart conditions, heart failure, or any breathing problems. Also, let your physician know if you have had hepatitis B in the past, as the virus may reactivate during treatment and can lead to serious complications. Use of this medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Common side effects of Ristova 500mg Injection may include blood infections, reduced red blood cell count, dizziness, swelling in the face and body, itchy skin, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and fluctuations in blood pressure. Women who can become pregnant should use reliable contraception during treatment and for 12 months after the final dose. The injection may also cause severe infusion-related reactions during or within 24 hours of administration. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, shortness of breath, vomiting, skin rash, or throat swelling.
