About

Ritcema 500mg Injection contains the active ingredient rituximab and is used to treat a variety of medical conditions in adults. It may be given alone or in combination with other medications to manage non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer of B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common cancer that affects B-cells). It is also prescribed for moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis in adults, in combination with methotrexate, an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks the body’s own joints. Other approved uses include treating granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis—types of blood vessel inflammation that mainly impact the lungs and kidneys—in adults and children aged 2 years and older. Ritcema is also effective in managing moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, a condition that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.

Ritcema 500mg Injection belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. It should not be used if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its ingredients, have a weakened immune system, or are suffering from a serious active infection. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, heart failure, or respiratory issues. Also, notify your physician if you have previously had a hepatitis B infection, as the virus may reactivate during treatment and lead to serious complications. This medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Common side effects of Ritcema 500mg Injection include blood infections, low red blood cell count, dizziness, facial or body swelling, itchy skin, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and fluctuations in blood pressure. Women who can become pregnant should use effective contraception during treatment and for 12 months after the final dose. Serious infusion-related reactions may occur during or within 24 hours after administration. Contact your doctor or healthcare provider immediately if you experience symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, difficulty breathing, vomiting, skin rash, or throat swelling.
