About

Mycofit S 360mg  Tablet is an immunosuppressant containing the active ingredient Mycophenolate sodium. It belongs to the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class of drugs. This medication is primarily used to prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone organ transplants, such as kidney, heart, or liver transplants. It is typically prescribed as part of a combination therapy with other immunosuppressive agents.

This medication is contraindicated during pregnancy due to its potential to cause birth defects and miscarriage. It should only be used in pregnant women when no suitable alternatives are available and the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Women of childbearing potential are strongly advised to use effective contraception while on this medication. Live vaccines should be avoided during treatment with Mycofit S 360mg Tablet because the immune response may be weakened, increasing the risk of infection. Patients are also advised not to donate blood while on this medication and for at least six weeks after discontinuation to ensure the drug is fully cleared from the body.

Mycofit S 360mg Tablet should not be taken by individuals with known hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have any liver or heart conditions before starting treatment. Because it suppresses the immune system, this medication may increase the risk of skin cancer. Patients should take precautions to minimize exposure to sunlight and ultraviolet (UV) rays. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as unexplained bruising, fever, fatigue, dizziness, yellowing of the skin or eyes, vision problems, decreased urine output, or seizures. Due to its potential to affect the developing immune system of infants, Mycofit S 360mgTablet should be avoided during breastfeeding.
