About

Myfortic 360mg Tablet contains Mycophenolate sodium, an immunosuppressant belonging to the inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor class. It is used to prevent organ rejection in individuals who have undergone organ transplantation, such as kidney, liver, or heart transplants. This medication is typically prescribed in combination with other immunosuppressive agents.

Myfortic 360mg is contraindicated during pregnancy due to its potential to cause birth defects and miscarriage. It should only be considered for use in pregnant women when no safer alternatives are available and the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception while taking this medication to avoid pregnancy. Live vaccines should not be given during treatment, as the medication may reduce vaccine effectiveness and increase infection risk. Blood donation should also be avoided during treatment and for at least six weeks after stopping the medication to ensure complete clearance from the body.

This medicine should not be taken if you are allergic to Mycophenolate sodium or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver or heart disease before beginning therapy. Since Myfortic suppresses the immune system, it may increase the risk of skin cancer; therefore, patients should limit exposure to sunlight and ultraviolet (UV) rays by using protective clothing and sunscreen. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as unusual bruising, fever, persistent fatigue, dizziness, yellowing of the skin or eyes, visual disturbances, decreased urine output, or seizures. Because of its immunosuppressive effects, Myfortic 360mg Tablet is not recommended during breastfeeding, as it may interfere with the infant’s developing immune system.
