About
Prograf 2mg Capsule contains tacrolimus, an immunosuppressant belonging to the class of medicines called calcineurin inhibitors. It is used in combination with other medicines to prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone liver, kidney, heart, or other transplants. It works by controlling the body’s immune system to help it accept the transplanted organ.
Do not take Prograf 2mg Capsule if you are allergic to tacrolimus or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics, or if you have a history of liver or heart disease before starting treatment. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop symptoms such as fever, unexplained bruising (red or purple spots under the skin), unusual tiredness, confusion, yellowing of the skin or eyes, decreased urine output, vision problems, or seizures while using this medicine.
While taking Prograf 2mg Capsule, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or UV light. Wear protective clothing and use a high-SPF sunscreen to reduce the risk of skin cancer associated with immunosuppressive therapy. This medicine may cause diarrhea; inform your doctor if it persists for more than a day. Additionally, consult your doctor before receiving any vaccinations during treatment.
