About

Silotrif D 8mg Tablet is a combination medication containing Silodosin and Dutasteride, primarily used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Silodosin is an alpha-1A adrenergic receptor antagonist that selectively relaxes the smooth muscles in the prostate, bladder neck, and urethra, thereby improving urine flow and relieving obstructive symptoms. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for prostate growth. By lowering DHT levels, Dutasteride helps to shrink the enlarged prostate over time, addressing the underlying cause of BPH. The combination provides both rapid symptomatic relief and long-term prostate size reduction.
