About

STALIX 100 contains Sildenafil, a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor. Sildenafil works by selectively inhibiting PDE5, an enzyme responsible for the degradation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the corpus cavernosum of the penis. During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is released, which activates guanylate cyclase, leading to increased cGMP levels. cGMP causes smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow into the penis, resulting in an erection. By inhibiting PDE5, Sildenafil prolongs the action of cGMP, thereby enhancing the erectile response. It is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men, helping them achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual activity.
