About

STATPURE F-10 is a combination lipid-modifying medication containing Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate. Atorvastatin is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that primarily lowers LDL-C (bad cholesterol) and total cholesterol by inhibiting cholesterol synthesis in the liver, while also reducing triglycerides and modestly increasing HDL-C. Fenofibrate is a fibric acid derivative that primarily lowers elevated triglyceride levels and increases HDL-C by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which alters lipid metabolism.
