DIAPRIDE M2 TAB is a combination medication used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, containing Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that primarily stimulates insulin release from pancreatic beta cells by closing ATP-sensitive potassium channels, thereby increasing insulin secretion. Metformin, a biguanide, acts by reducing hepatic glucose production, decreasing intestinal glucose absorption, and improving insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues.
