About

Doxybuz 100mg Injection contains an active ingredient belonging to the tetracycline class of antibiotics. It exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, specifically by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria. This binding prevents the attachment of aminoacyl-tRNA to the mRNA-ribosome complex, thereby interfering with the elongation of the peptide chain and ultimately halting bacterial growth and replication.

This broad-spectrum antibiotic is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as atypical organisms such as Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, and Rickettsia. Its injectable form is particularly useful for patients who cannot tolerate oral medication or require rapid systemic delivery for severe infections.

Uses

  • Treatment of various bacterial infections.
  • Management of severe community-acquired pneumonia.
  • Treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections.
