About

Ebunat 0.5mg Injection is a recombinant human erythropoietin, a glycoprotein that stimulates erythropoiesis, the production of red blood cells. It functions by binding to erythropoietin receptors on erythroid progenitor cells in the bone marrow, promoting their proliferation and differentiation into mature red blood cells. This medication is primarily used to treat anemia associated with chronic kidney disease, chemotherapy-induced anemia in cancer patients, and anemia in HIV-infected patients receiving zidovudine. It helps to increase hemoglobin levels, thereby reducing the need for blood transfusions and improving the patient's quality of life by alleviating symptoms of anemia such as fatigue and shortness of breath. The dosage is carefully titrated based on the patient's hemoglobin levels and clinical response to maintain target hemoglobin ranges and minimize risks.
