Cetuxa 100mg Injection (20ml) is an anticancer medication that contains Cetuximab, a monoclonal antibody. It is used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer, either on its own or in combination with other cancer treatments. It is also prescribed for certain types of squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Cancer occurs when cells grow and divide uncontrollably.

Avoid using Cetuxa 100mg Injection if you are allergic to Cetuximab or any of the ingredients in this medication. It is not recommended for use in children or adolescents. Inform your doctor if you have any heart, lung, or kidney conditions. Let your doctor know if you have a history of red meat allergy, tick bites, or have tested positive for alpha-gal antibodies, as these may increase the risk of a severe allergic reaction. Also, notify your doctor if you experience eye issues such as blurred vision, dry or red eyes, or eye pain.

Your doctor may monitor your white blood cell (WBC) count, especially if you are taking this injection alongside platinum-based chemotherapy, as there is a risk of decreased WBC levels. Inform your doctor if you are using fluoropyrimidine in your chemotherapy regimen, as combining it with Cetuxa may cause serious heart complications. Avoid breastfeeding and driving while receiving this treatment. Discuss with your doctor about using effective contraception, as this medication is not safe during pregnancy.
