About
Mistaurin 25mg Capsule is a highly specific targeted therapy, functioning as a potent tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). Its primary action is to selectively inhibit the Bcr-Abl fusion protein, which is the defining molecular abnormality and the key oncogenic driver in Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). By blocking the aberrant kinase activity of Bcr-Abl, Mistaurin effectively disrupts the downstream signaling pathways that promote uncontrolled proliferation and survival of CML cells. This targeted inhibition leads to a significant reduction in the malignant cell population, normalization of peripheral blood cell counts, and the induction of deep cytogenetic and molecular remissions. It is indicated for the treatment of newly diagnosed Ph+ CML in the chronic phase, and for Ph+ CML in chronic or accelerated phase in adult patients who have demonstrated resistance or intolerance to previous TKI therapies, providing a critical therapeutic option.
