About

Plerixafor is a potent and selective CXCR4 chemokine receptor antagonist, specifically designed for use in combination with granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) to the peripheral blood. This mobilization is crucial for subsequent collection and autologous transplantation in adult patients diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma (MM). The drug functions by reversibly blocking the binding of stromal cell-derived factor-1 alpha (SDF-1α) to its receptor CXCR4 on the surface of hematopoietic stem cells.
