About

This medication is a recombinant DNA-derived humanized monoclonal antibody that specifically targets and binds to free human immunoglobulin E (IgE). By reducing the levels of free IgE in the circulation, it prevents IgE from binding to its high-affinity receptor (FcεRI) on the surface of mast cells and basophils. This inhibition effectively limits the release of inflammatory mediators that are central to allergic responses. Consequently, it is highly effective in treating moderate to severe persistent allergic asthma in patients whose symptoms are not adequately controlled by inhaled corticosteroids, and also for chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU) that remains refractory to H1-antihistamines. Its mechanism of action helps to reduce the frequency and severity of asthma exacerbations and significantly alleviates urticaria symptoms, improving patient quality of life.

Uses

• Moderate to severe persistent allergic asthma.

Directions For Use
