About
Revolade 25mg Tablet contains Eltrombopag, a potent, orally active thrombopoietin receptor agonist. This medication functions by selectively binding to and activating the thrombopoietin receptor on the surface of hematopoietic stem cells and megakaryocyte progenitor cells in the bone marrow. This activation stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of megakaryocytes, which are the precursor cells responsible for producing platelets. The ultimate effect is a significant and sustained increase in the production of platelets, thereby elevating the platelet count in the peripheral blood. It is primarily indicated for the management of conditions characterized by critically low platelet counts, such as chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and severe aplastic anemia, where the risk of bleeding is substantial. The therapeutic objective is to achieve and maintain a platelet count sufficient to minimize or prevent clinically significant hemorrhagic events, improving patient safety and quality of life.

- Treatment of severe aplastic anemia (SAA) in patients refractory to immunosuppressive therapy.
