About

Temother 250mg Capsule contains temozolomide, an alkylating antineoplastic agent used in the treatment of certain brain tumors. It exerts its cytotoxic effects by interfering with DNA replication and transcription, leading to cell cycle arrest and programmed cell death in rapidly dividing cancer cells. Its lipophilic nature allows it to readily cross the blood-brain barrier, making it particularly effective against central nervous system malignancies.

This medication is commonly prescribed for newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme, often in combination with radiotherapy, and subsequently as adjuvant monotherapy. It is also indicated for refractory anaplastic astrocytoma that has progressed after prior therapy.
