About

Alsita M 50 is a fixed-dose combination medication specifically designed for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, containing Alogliptin (a dipeptidyl peptidase-4, or DPP-4, inhibitor) and Metformin (a biguanide). Alogliptin enhances the body's natural ability to lower high blood glucose levels by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the release of glucagon, both in a glucose-dependent manner, primarily after meals.
