Augplat 125mg Injection contains Romiplostim, a platelet-stimulating agent used to treat immune primary thrombocytopenia (ITP). ITP is a condition in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys its own platelets, resulting in low platelet counts. This medication is typically prescribed for adults and children aged 18 years and older when other treatments—such as immunoglobulins, corticosteroids, or splenectomy (surgical removal of the spleen)—have not been effective.

It should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity to Romiplostim or to drugs developed using DNA technology involving the microorganism Escherichia coli (E. coli). Before starting treatment, inform your physician if you have any medical conditions such as liver disease, cancer, recent surgeries, smoking habits, or if you are using hormonal birth control. These factors may affect the safety and effectiveness of the medication and may require adjustments to your treatment plan.

During treatment, regular blood tests will be conducted to monitor for any abnormalities, especially those indicating changes in the bone marrow, as this drug has been associated with such effects. Based on the test results, your physician will decide whether to continue or discontinue the medication.

Augplat 125mg Injection is not recommended during pregnancy unless clearly prescribed by your doctor. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or suspect you may be pregnant. Since it is not known whether the drug passes into human breast milk, breastfeeding is not advised while using this medication.
