About

Augplat 250mg Injection contains Romiplostim, a platelet-stimulating agent used to treat immune primary thrombocytopenia (ITP). ITP is a condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys platelets, resulting in low platelet counts. This medication is primarily prescribed for adults and children over 18 years of age when other treatments—such as corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy (surgical removal of the spleen)—have failed to increase platelet levels.

It is contraindicated in individuals who have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Romiplostim or to medications developed using recombinant DNA technology involving Escherichia coli (E. coli). Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver disease, a history of cancer, recent surgical procedures, smoking habits, or are using hormonal contraceptives, as these factors may influence the drug’s safety and effectiveness.

Your physician will conduct regular blood tests during treatment to monitor for potential bone marrow abnormalities, which have been associated with this medication. Based on the results, your doctor will assess whether to continue or modify the treatment. Augplat 250mg Injection is not recommended during pregnancy unless clearly necessary and prescribed by your doctor. Be sure to inform your physician if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or suspect pregnancy before starting the injection. As it is unknown whether the drug passes into breast milk, breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment.
