About

Romiset 500mcg Injection 6ml is a platelet-stimulating agent containing the active ingredient Romiplostim. It is used to treat immune primary thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys platelets, resulting in low platelet levels. This medication is primarily prescribed for adults and children aged 18 years and older when other treatments—such as corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy—have failed to improve platelet counts.

Romiset 500mcg Injection 6ml is contraindicated in individuals who are hypersensitive or allergic to medications derived using DNA technology involving the microorganism Escherichia coli (E. coli). Before beginning treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver disease, cancer, a recent surgical history, if you smoke, or if you are using hormonal contraceptives. These factors can affect the drug's safety and effectiveness, and your doctor will consider them when deciding on your treatment plan.

During therapy with this injection, your doctor will regularly monitor your blood work to check for potential bone marrow changes. If any abnormalities are detected, they will assess their clinical relevance and determine whether to continue or discontinue the medication. Romiset 500mcg Injection 6ml is not recommended during pregnancy unless clearly advised by your physician. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or suspect pregnancy before starting the treatment. It is also not known if this medicine passes into breast milk, so breastfeeding should be avoided while on this medication.
