About
Diti REV D Capsule is a combination medication designed to address gastrointestinal issues by combining a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) with a prokinetic agent. Rabeprazole, the PPI component, works by irreversibly binding to and inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (the proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, thereby significantly reducing gastric acid secretion. Domperidone, the prokinetic component, acts as a dopamine receptor antagonist, primarily at the D2 receptors, to enhance gastrointestinal motility and accelerate gastric emptying without affecting gastric acid secretion. This dual action effectively alleviates symptoms associated with acid reflux and impaired gut motility, promoting healing of esophageal erosions and ulcers.
