About
Fulvenat 250 mg Injection contains fulvestrant, an antineoplastic medication classified as an estrogen receptor antagonist. Estrogen, a female sex hormone, can contribute to the growth of certain types of breast cancer. This injection is used alone to treat postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer that is locally advanced or has spread to other parts of the body. It is also used in combination with other anticancer medicines to treat hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer in women with advanced or metastatic disease.
Do not use this injection if you are allergic to fulvestrant or any of its ingredients, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have severe liver disease. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, bone disorders, bleeding conditions, or heart disease. Fulvenat 250 mg Injection is not recommended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat after receiving the injection.
Common side effects include pain or swelling at the injection site, elevated liver enzyme levels, nausea, headache, cough, fatigue, joint or muscle pain, hot flashes, hair thinning, and skin rashes. Your doctor may recommend regular blood tests during treatment. This medicine may increase the risk of bleeding and liver damage. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment and for two years after the final dose.
