About

Pivikto 150mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Alpelisib, an anticancer agent that belongs to a class of drugs known as PI3K (phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase) inhibitors. It is used in combination with other anticancer medications to treat a specific type of breast cancer that has spread to nearby tissues or distant parts of the body. This treatment is intended for postmenopausal women and men whose cancer has progressed during or after previous therapies. Additionally, Pivikto is used to manage certain types of PIK3CA-related overgrowth spectrum (PROS), a genetic disorder that leads to abnormal tissue growth and overgrowth in various parts of the body.

Avoid taking Pivikto 150mg if you are allergic to Alpelisib or any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have a history of high blood sugar levels, diabetes, bone disorders, or if you experience skin-related symptoms such as rashes, blisters on the lips, eyes, or mouth, skin peeling, fever, or redness of the skin. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop signs of an allergic reaction, including rash, itching, hives, breathing difficulties, wheezing, coughing, low blood pressure, or discoloration of the lips, tongue, or skin. This medication is not recommended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
