About

Sacuval 50 contains Sacubitril and Valsartan, an angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) combination indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, an enzyme responsible for the degradation of natriuretic peptides, leading to increased levels of these peptides which promote vasodilation and natriuresis. Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that inhibits the harmful effects of angiotensin II, such as vasoconstriction and aldosterone release. By combining these two mechanisms, Sacuval provides a dual therapeutic approach that significantly reduces the risk of cardiovascular death and heart failure hospitalization in patients with HFrEF, offering a substantial improvement over traditional therapies.

Uses

  • Treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).
  • To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death.
