About

Rosuvastatin is a highly effective HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, commonly known as a statin, widely utilized for the management of dyslipidemia and the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the key enzyme responsible for cholesterol synthesis in the liver, leading to a significant reduction in low-density lipoprotein (LDL), often referred to as "bad" cholesterol, and triglycerides. Concurrently, it also provides a beneficial increase in high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or "good" cholesterol.
